Meet Charis Miller

M.A., LPC, NCC, ACS, BC-TMH

Charis is the founder and owner of Shenandoah Counseling & Consulting, PLLC based in Woodstock, Virginia.

Charis graduated from Liberty University with an Undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2007 and earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling in 2012, also from Liberty University. In 2018, she earned a license as a Professional Counselor with the Virginia Board of Counseling. In the Spring of 2020, Charis became a Virginia Board Approved Supervisor. Charis is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Board-Certified telemental health Provider, and she earned the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential from the Center for Credentialing and Education in 2023.

Charis is a member of the Virginia Counselor’s Association, and has had the pleasure of being a session speaker at their 2025 statewide conference. She is a projected session speaker for this year’s 2026 VCA conference.

Charis enjoys providing support in areas of trauma-informed care, young adult life transitions, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, stress management, interpersonal relationships, supporting parents/guardians in childhood development, Christian counseling, and navigating family dynamics.
